The candidate for this position will be assisting with the development, optimization and application of a variety of analytical techniques for protein characterization with respect to protein primary and secondary structural features, as well as post-translational modifications with focus on glycosylation. The analytical techniques will primarily include electrophoresis and chromatography.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree in the field of chemistry, biochemistry or biology.

Experience: One to two years of laboratory experience in biotechnology or the biopharmaceutical/pharmaceutical industry. Previous experience in HPLC (RP, IEC), electrophoresis and other protein analysis methods is required for the position. Knowledge of mass spectrometry is a plus. Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices will also be viewed positively, but is not required.

Other requirements: The candidate must possess good communication and writing skills. This is a dynamic, team-oriented work environment and the candidate will need to have a sense of urgency and ability to work under tight deadlines.
