Blue Stream Laboratories (BSL), a fast-growing biochemical/analytical CRO, seeks a creative, highly-motivated individual who is ready for an exciting, entrepreneurial workplace, and who wants to contribute to a dynamic, success-driven team.
The candidate for this position will be hands-on in developing, optimizing and applying a variety of analytical MS and LC-MS techniques for protein and peptide characterization utilizing new, leading-edge Ion Trap, MALDI/ESI TOF and TQ mass spectrometers. The candidate will generate, analyze and interpret data and then prepare reports and standard operating procedures, as appropriate.
Qualifications:
The candidate must have education/experience in biological sciences, protein chemistry, or biochemistry with focus in protein/peptide characterization utilizing mass spectroscopy:
- BA/BS with 5+ years of experience, or
- MS with 3+ years of experience, or
- PhD with 1+ year(s) of industry experience (or 2+ years of postdoctoral work)
Hands-on experience on the analysis of proteins with respect to primary structure characterization and post-translational modifications is a must.
Other requirements: The candidate must possess excellent communication and writing skills and be highly knowledgeable of standard MS software and statistical analysis programs. Ability to excel with multiple projects simultaneously and lead projects to closure. Strong leadership skills along with a sense of urgency and ability to work under tight deadlines.
