Many of Blue Stream's methodologies are provided to explore or reveal a product's primary structure or activity. In addition, Blue Stream has built capabilities to provide services for Secondary and Higher Order Structural Characterization.
Correct higher-order structural configuration is critical to ensure proper functionality and activity of a biopharmaceutical product. Secondary and Higher Order Structural Characterization capabilities are essential for a full product characterization program.
These methods consist of several types of spectroscopy, chromatographic analysis, and other methods, yielding information on folding, aggregation, multimeric association, and thermal conformational transition.
Methods which Blue Stream offers for Secondary and Higher Order Structural Characterization include:
- Native gel electrophoresis
- Size Exclusion Chromatography (SEC)
Several of these Secondary and Higher Order Structural Characterization methods (below) will be brought on-line through '08 and early '09. Please contact Blue Stream for additional information.
- Circular Dichroism (CD)
- FTIR Spectroscopy
- Multi Angle Laser Light Scattering (MALLS)
- Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC)
- Analytical Ultra Centrifugation (AUC)
